Superhero Powers

The three life-altering experiences in an origin story are trauma, destiny, and sheer chance. My story is a man made bug got loose and bit me and I got energy sourcing.

My story:
Scientists, deep underground in a secret lab were doing unauthorized experiments. One experiment consisted of a man made bug that would be used during war and kill people but it would be undetected. One day the scientists had a chemical spill in the lab from one of the other experiments and they had to air everything out and come out from under ground. What they didn't realize is that they opened up the bugs cage to air it out and it came out of the ground with them. The bug flew around into the nearest city where it heard noise. The bug was not completely done yet so no body had any idea what it would do. A teenager riding his bike to his friends house felt a sharp pain in his neck. Like a needle. The bug had bit him. No body knew about the bug so he thought it was just a big mosquito bite. But instead of an itchy bump he felt strange. Later that day him and his friend were messing around and fighting and out of no where he shot his friend through the wall with a huge energy force. The bug had given him energy sourcing powers. The teenager thought maybe he could use his power for good, maybe even become a superhero.
